And if you want to find other people to follow, see what people you already follow reblog, and click on the username of one of the other posters. That will lead you to their tumblr site, where you can read more of their posts. If you like what you see, you can follow them!
For example:
I follow 111 people, not all of which are politically-minded. Some of them post like...hipstery-y stuff (triangles and shit, idgi), some post fandom stuff, like tv show screencaps, and some are what I call "fan tumblrs", which are like...tumblrs devoted to a certain celeb/character/relationship. I run several, because I had no life during the summer (I don't update them nearly as much as I used to, which makes me feel bad). And yes, some are politically-minded/activist-y type blogs.
My favorite activist tumblr was ihatethismess, but I think she deleted hers for some reason. :( She's really well-informed about issues of intersectionality and multiple oppressions.
