So now, having seen Star Trek exactly once, my imagine of Zachary Quinto as Spock has completely consumed and overwritten my image of Zachary Quinto as Sylar.

Edit: And now my journal is overflowing with Star Trek ads. Go figure!

really? is this good or bad? Will it happen to me too? Will I start referring to the hot gas station attendent near my house as "the dude with the sexy Spock eyebrows"?

I think it's good. I think Zachary completely nailed Spock, and I like Spock a heck of a lot more than I like Sylar.

I don't know if it'll happen to you too. I suggest looking at a series of Quinto-as-Spock icons until you come to a conclusion. ;)

I don't know. It's already had negateve consequences in my boston marriage. My wife and I were looking at Quinto's picture as Spock on the cover of the free weekly last week and I said, excitedly, "that's Zachary Quinto! That's who the hot gas station attendent looks like!"
she wrinkled her nose at me and said, "like Spock? that's not hot"

I should go see Star Trek tomorrow...my brother keeps bugging me to go so we can *discuss*

I disagree. I think Spock has a long history of being considered hot.

Although as a lesbian, I state this as a disinterested outside observer. Yes, that sounds pretty plausible.

I think Zachary completely nailed Spock...

I dunno, I think Uhura did that.

I guess that narrows it down a lot, but I also think that it has something to do with Spock being a cultural icon and Zachary filling the role to near perfection.

I loved Leonard Nimoy's reprisal in the film an enjoyed the interactions. I thought Zachary Quinto looked older as Sylar then as Spock.

but how often can you look and be all "spock plucks!"?

Quinto's Spock is my new fantasy crush; can I be the one to get stuck in a cave with him during his next pon farr? *has been reading too many fanfics*

I'm not the one to handle booking, but I don't see how making a reservation would be a problem.

INORITE! At the start I'm like, "Don't trust him! That's Sylar!" and by the end, he *is* Spock. It's freaky.

Yeah, I think of all the new cast, he nailed the old role the closest - but with some good new stuff.

In some cases, I think the new interpretations are more interesting (or could be, with more screen time), but I like the of all the cast, Spock is most like Spock. :)

Not having seen either and just googling pictures, he seems much hotter as he normally dresses and as Sylar than as Spock.

I'm not sure there are words in English to express how tired I am of Sylar. He's had flashes as an interesting character, esp. in Villains and Fugitives (not throughout the chapter, but a few bits), but overall, he's just the villain who won't ever go away.

nod. Not having watched Heroes all I can judge is his presentation, which to my eyes is pretty hot.
